Literally the word ‘ Book’ is a written or printed work with pages bound along one side. Actual speaking the work of a writer is intended for publication so that a good member readers can read the book comfortably with great. The publishers as well as the book sellers bring and display the works of eminent writers to the interested readers to have a good idea of the written works.
Through history, we came to know that many different materials have been for books eg: beech bark and bamber. In ancient Egypt, one of the first format was a scroll. The scroll was a roller type manuscript made fro papyrus plant. Later the Romans created the codex which was brand and opened like a book with pages. In A.D 868, the Chinese made the first printed book which is called the “Diamond Sutra”.
With the Invention of the printing press literacy began to flourish. Reference books like dictionaries became very popular.Later, the text books for students and readers came in the market which are becoming highly useful for gaining knowledge of different kinds. The Gutenberg Bible also known as the 42 line Bible which has come in the list of Guinness Book of world records as the world’s oldest mechanically printed books. Books have now reached the 21st century with the creation of the increasing popular e-book format display.
There are different types of books like science fiction, drama, religious, history, math, anthropology , poetry , mystery , guide, travel, children-comics, arts drawings, cookbooks, bio-graphics, auto-bio-graphics, action, adventures. The serious book lovers will surely search for knowing the availability of the books of their choice either from market or from distribution of the e-book. There is no doubt that tablets, smart phones and e-readers have become very popular now a days.
Books delight and instruct the readers. A general reader should read the works of Dickens, SaratChandra, poems of Rabindranath, Wordsworth, Keats.
